James Connolly

james connolly is an Artist and Chef in New York City and London. After graduating from The School of Visual Arts with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, James Connolly has worked as a realist painter, draftsman,sculptor and photographer, showing in galleries across the US and in Europe. While living in England from 2006-2008, he developed a passion for food, food systems and nutrition, and the European culture of the meal as an expression of community. He’s trained as a chef at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in England and The French Culinary Institute in New York City. In addition to being trained in food preparation, he has focused his studies on the nutritional aspects of food, issues of obesity and our historical and current model of food systems. In early 2010, James co-founded Bubble to help educate children and their families about nutrition and fitness.
